Intel signed a definitive agreement on Oct 26 to acquire Classiq, whose platform automates the design of quantum algorithms across different hardware. Intel says the deal turns its Quantum Computing Group into a full-stack business pairing Classiq's software with its silicon spin-qubit chips. Intel did not disclose terms. Bloomberg and Globes put the price at about $2.2B, while another outlet reported $2.3B. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, and Intel says it will keep supporting Classiq's integrations with other hardware vendors.
