Google Cloud announces Agent Compute Engine, giving each AI agent its own microVM
The service runs agents in hardware-isolated microVMs with persistent storage; a customer preview is due in the coming months. Google also open-sourced Agent Substrate for GKE and added cost controls to Agent Gateway.
