Visa to buy fraud-detection software maker BioCatch for $2.4B

Visa agreed to acquire BioCatch, which sells behavioral fraud-intelligence software to banks, for $2.4B in cash. The deal adds fraud-prevention software to Visa's portfolio. (Visa newsroom)

Visa is buying BioCatch from funds advised by Permira and other shareholders. BioCatch serves more than 350 banking clients in 21 countries. Closing is expected by the end of Visa's fiscal second quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals. (Visa newsroom)
